Concept Art
So,
I sat down, and started trying to put what I want on to paper... I discovered something wonderful!! I cannot draw, when I do.. it looks like a horrid. I cannot take the picture in my own head and put it on paper. *sighs* Does anyone else have this problem?

Too Smart to Argue
I was reading some tech blogs online and on one blog there was an article on how could Steve Jobs save the iPod since sales of the iPhone and iTouch are cutting into their iPod profits. Now, I didn't think the iPod had any worries of becoming obsolete as a production, but I was positive about one thing...

Anyway, I read the comments to see what kind of argument there would be and sure enough there were two. It never fails that where there is a tech article about Apple or Microsoft, trolls and flame wars are not far behind (Unless comments are filed on a separate page)! I like to read them because it's like being at a zoo behind plate glass watching monkeys fling their poo at each other.

One argument was (of course) the fight over the cost vs. performance of Windows compared to OSX computers. The problem I have with this kind of argument is that people compare peanuts to apples (Ha ha) expecting an even fight. It's not. :) So I step into the ring and made the following statement:
---"Comparing OSX based machines and Windows based machines is always going to result in skewed results because you are literally comparing apples to peanuts. OSX is always going to appear to be more stable and efficient because Apple builds their own hardware to run optimally with their OS. Everything sits on the same design standard and thus works well. There aren't many 3rd party hardware components because of such tight controls. Microsoft has the tougher job- Windows OS has to be able to account compatibility with hundreds of different hardware maufacturers, most with different standards, so obviously Windows is going to be much more buggier. Now if Microsoft decided to build their own hardware with tight quality standards then yes, you'd have a much fairer comparison to work with. Though I would bet dollars to donuts that a lot of people would call foul on MS for trying such a design."---

2nd fullsuit and trying ears...
It's been awhile since I've posted, but I pretty much lurk everyday...
I finally finished (somewhat) my second fullsuit of Hyen K'yena (I know, imaginative name =p I was like... 10 when made her up originally)... a hyena.
It's my third head, second follow-me attempt... but in putting her eyes TOO far back (it was completely fine looking until I furred her, o_O), she often appears as if she has none... personally, it's grown on me that way, she's supposed to be kinda scary (scary, but has an infinity for soft, cute things). And it's great for Halloween =p Anyway. Now that I look at it, I need more spots, and I'm going to get another blue sharpie to fill in her leg ring-tatt (it's supposed to be more tribal-like) so... but I can't wait to show her off, anyway...
If I was to fix her eyes, I'd probably just make a whole new head and go from scratch. I'm fairly attached to her looks, deep eyes and all.
I keep forgetting to add her skirt... but oh well.
And I couldn't zipper passed my shoulderblades -_- So it's a bit open... but I wear an old shirt underneath so it doesn't matter. I need to get something underarmor for halloween and such when prolonged wearing o_O

I also recently made a pair of ears and a tail for a renn faire - Sterling Forest - (if someone asked, I told them I was an 'Animal Sprite' =p) using Theassassinox's elastic headband method. And boy am I glad it worked and painless to wear o_O My thanks to you! xD

Yay! Free from jury duty!
...and after only two days of service, so they can't call me again for at least 6 years.
I was released right around the lunch break so I even had enough time to run home, change out of business attire, hop back on the bus over to Forest Park and saddle up on my favorite horsey Ranger for a nice afternoon trail ride.

MFM.....lemurrrrrs and murrrrkats
Had a great time as always, MFM is always one of my favorite cons.

Was great to see everyone and I looooove our annual trip to Corky's BBQ.

Highlight of the weekend had to be swapping fursuits with the very talentedsilver_raccoon
He let me wear tungsten and Oz (he made both suits) and I let him wear Pink Panther (tight squeeze!) and Greifer
He IS open for fursuit commissions and you can reach him at silverraccoon at gmail
I also letkhyle wear Greifer because his suit was lost in the mail (but later found) So if you saw Greifer wearing a red G string and poi spinning that would have been HIM. I will have to see if I have good video of that.

And two pig pawz up torazzy6 for ALWAYS being in fursuit and playing in the garden court anytime I looked out there.
It was his first con and first time suiting. I read his con report and he reminds me a lot of ....... ME after my first con.

Glue Gun Woes
I've been using a two-temp (low and high) glue gun for most of my projects without incident. I use the short, multi-temp sticks with them. Recently, my first gun began to crap out on me - it wouldn't grip the sticks (same sticks!) or be able to melt them efficiently. Now, it was over a year old and a cheapie ($10, maybe) so I chalked that up to just having been worn out.
So I go shopping for a new gun, and decided to get an updated version of the same model (AdTech 2 Temp). On the packaging, it recommends the longer, yet still multi-temp sticks, so that's what I'm currently using. The gun worked great at first, but now I am having the same problem as the first gun - it wont grip the sticks or melt them efficiently - and I have the setting on high!
The cord detaches for cordless use, and is a bit loose, but I keep it attached at all operating times. I follow the company's suggested use times (not on more more than an hour at a time) and I just can't figure out for the life of me what the problem is.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is there a way to fix this or should I just suck it up and invest in a more expensive, more heavy duty gun?
EDIT: I pulled the remnant stick outta the barrel and inserted another, new stick. Instant fix! I'd still like to hear ya'lls opinion on dinky little glue guns vs. industrial glue guns. <3

Art Walk Friday
Yes it is the first Friday of the month and here in Denver that means it is Art Walk Friday at the Santa Fe Art District. It has already started to get cold here this week. *tear* Its 53 degrees right now with a predicted low of 49, so we have almost bottomed out for the day. Maybe that will cut down on the crowd a little bit, but probably not. :-)

Ohhh, I want to buy today's O&M ^^; but... I've already spent all my birthday money =( and I should get out of the habit of too many large impulse buys at once. [Not that the last one's shown up yet, stupid international post services deferring blame to the other country.]
I will also want more jurburjurburs at some point. Ideally, I will find two girls and be able to introduce them to Jade Knight to keep her company until she goes, so I would at least not fail on that account. Unfortunately the chances of that aren't too likely, considering how often I see gerbils for sale, much less a pair of females--I might even have to locate a breeder to do that =/

Realistic Wolf Partial
It's done and ready for auction! :D I'm very happy with the way it turned out! A big thanks to everyone who gave me helpful hints and tips! I fixed the bottom jaw and made the mouth close tighter even for a balaclava head :)! It ended up working great!
