Saw the left rear tire was flat
Had to pump it up
And bring it to the service facility
I got the flat... flat tire blues. (Okay, that doesn't sound like the blues at all!)
The repair took only a few minutes. The service tech brought out the patch kit and took care of it right in the parking lot. There was an screw embedded in the tire. Now who puts screws on the road anyway? Usually, it's nails. The patch didn't look at all like what I thought it would. It's just a strip of brown material, like bacon. After removing the screw with pliers, he threaded the bacon into a big needle and then used the needle to push the bacon into the tire. Then he applied some clear sealant and reinflated the tire. And it was good to go.
This evening's fortune cookie says "Plan for many pleasures ahead." Okay.
I think it's going to rain tomorrow. There may be a hurricane too. Hope the weather is good for the picnic on Sunday.
