A tragedy, in a city that has seen far too many tragedies in the past few years. I've ridden the Staten Island ferry many times before. As I recall, people would crowd around at the docking end of the ferry just behind the little steel gate waiting for the ferry to dock. I think that wasn't such a good idea.
