Why I'm Not A Food Critic XIX

Nikon sent a note today acknowledging receipt of the camera. It's covered by the warranty so there's no charge. Now I wait.

The tire didn't leak at all today so I hope that's the end of that. Went to Autozone in Spring Valley to get more tire plug threads since I was running low on those already.

While I was in Spring Valley, I noticed that there was a Thai restaurant just across the street from the International Food Mart. I think I've barely scratched the surface of this town because I see something new every time I go there. So I went to the Thai House Cafe for dinner. It's quite unlike any other Thai restaurant I've been to. Half of it is a bar with a large screen TV. The other half is a party area with pool tables.

The menu is pretty simple. Most of the items are not in Thai but are named descriptively, e.g. yellow curry, red curry, etc. I ordered the noodles in yellow curry with pork. Service was speedy, mainly because I was the only customer! The curry was about what I expected, mild with a decent amount of flavor. The ingredients were a bit weird for Thai cooking. The noodles were garnished with broccoli, carrots and french fries! It's the fusion of Thai food and the Nanuet Diner. :) Anyway, it's not bad cooking but not serious Thai cuisine either. More like Thai Lite. However, the restaurant is at a convenient location for me so I might go again.
