Four for Tuesday

I thought it would be a rainy day but it didn't rain so out I went. Got 4 geocaches in Rockland County and Bear Mountain State Park. Some were a bit challenging to get to but none were difficult to find at all.

Pines Pond (New York)
Small undeveloped park in Montebello. A nice pond here amidst the mansions.

June 2 (New York)
Historic Doodletown in Bear Mountain State Park. This cache is near the Second June Cemetery.

The Pavement Ends (New York)
Historic Doodletown in Bear Mountain State Park. This cache is on the Rhodes Property at the end of Pleasant Valley Road.

Dunderberg Railroad Cache (New York)
Dunderberg Mountain in the Bear Mountain State Park. The hike is up a portion of the Dunderberg Spiral Railway. I found the railbed to be a steep rocky incline. Saw a tunnel next to the trail along the way up. Anyway, the whole deal was a pretty steep hike but once up there, the view of the Hudson River is fantastic.
