12 geocaches today! Not a personal best as I've found 21 in a day before but still, breaking the 8-cache barrier doesn't happen every day.
The final tally: 2 in Bergen County (NJ), 4 in Westchester County (NY), 6 in Suffolk County. (Long Island, NY) 4 virtuals, 8 regular, no multis or micros. (And thank goodness for that.) None of them were rated higher than 2.5 for terrain or difficulty and so they were ideal for a cache dash.
Met Gwho enroute to the first cache of the day. Went with him to beta-test his new cache and thus got first find on that one. Great guy.
Had the fish and root beer, as I mentioned yesterday. This was at the A&W/Long John Silver's co-branded restaurant in West Islip. I thought the fish at the LJS in Patchogue was better (and a lot more in the style of the Virginia Beach LJS restaurants) but the latter does not have root beer. If you combine the better batter from the second LJS with the root beer from the first, that would be ideal. Better yet, open a LJS in Northeast New Jersey. That would be most convenient. It boggles the mind that any fast food chain would not have a outlet in Paramus or Wayne. The population density is high enough that I'm sure the place would be profitable. There used to be a LJS in the Willowbrook Mall food court but it disappeared for reasons I do not know.
I'm now up to 2,000,000 keys at Project Dolphin.
