The cache du jour is Look What I Found in the Tallman Mountain State Park in Palisades, NY. The walk was a lot easier than I thought because it was a smooth and broad bike path nearly all the way. About 100 feet from my destination, there is a view of the Hudson River. I took that picture from the top of a cliff at the edge of the woods. It's a long way down. And, of course, this surplus ammo box, nearby, was the object of my search. (I need a manicure.) On my way out, I stopped to take a look at some ruins.

I've finished scanning the log book that I retrieved from my High Point geocache. The scanned pages can be seen here. Most of the comments are quite nice and I'm amazed that people will sit there and write that much. Usually, I write very brief entries in the log books and longer entries in the online logs.

From the geocaching forums: Car Wreck Pictures
It's a real tree-wrapper. In fact, one third of the Audi is wrapped around a tree. And the speedometer is frozen at around 100 mph, possibly due to the abrupt stop.
