1,000 geocaches found!

I did it today! 8 found out of 9 attempted, bringing the total to 1,000. Yes, one thousand. Also met 3 geocachers along the way, and got a first finder ribbon from one of the caches. All in all, a great day!

The day began with picking up two new geocaches near the Alpine Lookout in Palisades Park. (NJ section) Met Bassoonpilot and part of the Skully & Mulder team, two accomplished geocachers, at the parking area. Next 4 stops were in and around Harriman State Park. All were easy, but with some walking. Then there was this geocache just across the Hudson River and a few miles North in Putnam County that I could not find. I met JoeK & Maddog, who were also looking for the cache.

Went back over to NJ and found two geocaches, both easy. The last one, which was #1,000, was found at 4:33pm and that concluded a day of caching.

The downside is nothing I do tomorrow can top today. But we'll see. Going to visit some locations on both sides of Central NJ.
