Castle, Castle, Who's Got The Castle?

I was driving out this evening and I heard a special news report about McGreevey stepping down as Governor. And I thought "What?" And then there was something about his being gay and facing some sexual harassment accusations. And I thought "What???" Then I didn't hear the rest because I had to try not to get into an accident on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

I checked the news stories after I got home and here's one of them: N.J. governor, saying he's gay, resigns office
Now I know many are going to say that he resigned because he's gay and there's homophobia and so on, but that's not it. He has major problems. Firstly, he had an extramarital affair with one of his aides and faces sexual harassment accusations that could lead to a lawsuit. And secondly, he faces a campaign finance fraud investigation. And yes, those matters would affect his ability to govern so he was right in announcing his resignation. Of course, it would have been better if he hadn't done anything unethical in the first place but we have to live with less-than-ideal politicians. Oh well.

Anyhoo, my destination was the Don't miss the Castle geocache in the Palisades State Park. (Alpine, NJ although I did cross the state border twice on my way there) I knew about the castle from a previous visit to the area. It's actually the Women's Federation Monument. I think some work has been done there because there's now a bit of a flower garden and more paving stones that I didn't notice before.

The cache, which is in the other direction on the Long Path, took some time to find. I think between the inaccurate GPS readings and the given coordinates, which I suspect are somewhat off, I covered quite a bit of search area but eventually I did find the ammo can nicely hidden in a typical hiding spot.
