I found out today that GEICO is now offering auto insurance policies in New Jersey so I went over to their website to fill out the insurance quote form. Well, it's about $152 a year higher than my current insurance policy with AIG so I'm not going to save any money there.

I may eventually have to go with GEICO anyway. My AIG policy is actually living on borrowed time as I found out that AIG is no longer offering auto insurance in New Jersey. But as long as AIG is willing to renew my policy at the low rate, I'll stay with them.

One curious thing I noticed while filling out the quote form at GEICO is they ask if you are a Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffett's holding company and parent of GEICO) shareholder. What's that all about? Do you get a discount if you have Berkshire Hathaway? Do the Class B shares count?
