I noticed that some software applications had license agreements that permit installation on up to two computers, specifically a desktop computer and a portable computer. So I checked the Microsoft EULA... and installed Microsoft Office 2003 on my laptop. This is in addition to the WordPerfect Suite that was already there. Funny thing is even with two full-featured word processors on this laptop, I still use Vim, a text editor, for writing because I'm an incurable something-or-other.

One thing I'm wondering is how does Microsoft Product Activation work if you can also install the software on a laptop? Does it keep track of the number of computers and block any further installations once you've put the software on two computers? Is it able to tell that one of the machines is a laptop computer or can you actually install the software on two desktop computers?

NaNoWriMo update: 26738 words. Still in the 4th chapter.

Also, I won $126 million$7 in MegaMillions. :)
