The picture was actually taken the day before, when it wasn't as cold.
I don't know what happened to my tolerance for cold. 2, maybe 3, winters ago, I could go outside in the single digits of Fahrenheit, down to 0°F even. It would hurt at first but then I would get used to it. Today, the temperature was only in the teens and I thought I was going to die of exposure.
My car has a new problem. This morning, I saw that the tachometer was frozen. There was nothing else wrong with the car so it was just a bit weird driving along at 0 RPM. After about half a mile, the tachometer needle got unstuck and then froze again at around 1500 RPM. So I pulled into the parking lot and parked the car, and the tachometer still read 1500 RPM! Anyway, this isn't a real problem. I know when to shift by listening to the engine, so I don't need to know the RPM. Also, it doesn't seem to be a permanent problem as the needle was fine in the afternoon.
I hope nothing else is stuck. For example, a frozen fuel gauge could be very misleading!
