Mall Trip

Thanks to a tip from a semi-anonymous poster, I now know that there is a new version of the Charamel theme in the works for Firefox 1.5 Beta 2. I hope the Thunderbird version of the theme will be updated too.

Went to the Palisades Center Mall to take care of a few things, mainly paying the phone bill and cashing the $3 Megamillions ticket. (There's this rule that if I bought the ticket in NY State, I have to cash it in NY State even though it is a multi-state lottery.)

Anyway, since I was there, I checked on some computer hardware prices. 19" LCD monitors can be had for around $300 now, which is useful if this 20" monitor circa 1999 burns out. As you may recall, the glass on my scanner caved in a while back. So while I was at the mall, I looked for scanners too. As it turns out, I can get a pretty decent scanner with a much higher optical resolution for under $100 now. I also checked some online stores when I got home and this one is under $50! So getting a replacement scanner shouldn't be a big deal.

What's this Easy Button that Staples is now selling in their stores? I thought that was just something in their ads.

I noticed that Qdoba has a student discount. That makes me wonder if there is a way to get a student ID from an online university.
