Then I returned to the hotel and went to
Then I changed quickly into the coyote suit and went downstairs to the ballroom for the Fursuit Massacre. (fursuit games) The fursuiters were divided into 3 teams of 6 per team. We had the following events: egg and spoon race, scooter race, a race where we went two at a time carrying a ball between our bellies, and musical chairs.
Changed out of the coyote suit. Then went down to the con floor again. Met up with
Quick dash out to lunch, which turned out not to be so quick because I picked the Chinese buffet (China King Buffet) and just had to go back to the buffet table for a second (and third, fourth... I lost count) round of roast duck.
Went back and attended the closing ceremony. I wrote down the numbers as they were mentioned. Attendance was 318. The charity raffle made $546 and the charity auction made $513.
After the closing ceremony, I heard from a few people about a guerilla fursuiting event. So I changed into the coyote suit again and went to the con floor. A whole bunch of us went out in fursuit to the hotel driveway. And then back into the hotel and into the airport by way of the hotel-airport connector. It was an interesting experience. Some travelers at the airport were saying "Look! It's a costume parade." Then we had the group photo right in the airport. One attendant from United Airlines wanted a picture taken with us, so we did that too.
Then we went back to the hotel and did a walk around the lobby, to the amusement of the people sitting there and the Starbucks folks.
After that, it was time to start the Dead Fur (post-con) Party. There was music, but not a whole lot of people because everyone was basically either packing/leaving or tired. Oh well. Nevertheless, some silliness took place out in the hallway, including: the spinning card of death, the drink holder of death, and the soda spill Rorschach Test that looked like a dragon.
