Microsoft releases Windows update Firefox plug-in

In other news, hell freezes over. :)

I think it's a good move on Microsoft's part. There are people who run Windows with IE removed or disabled, and there are people who just plain refuse to run IE. So using this plugin is easier than searching Microsoft's website for relevant patches. But why can't they release Windows Update as a standalone utility? Does it have to run in a browser? That way Opera, K-Meleon, and Dr. Orca users won't be left out.
