Vim 7 has gone beta. The nice part is there was a last-minute addition of a GUI tab bar for the Windows GUI. In the developer snapshots, that was the one thing I missed in the Windows GUI that the GTK GUI had. Also, since the feature set is now more-or-less stable, I can start using the Vim 7 scripting enhancements more extensively.
Anyway, this evening's quest was to see if the Wal-Mart in Airmont had any furry pillows, an item I only heard about just the other day. Indeed, this store did have one left. There were other fuzzy pillows, but not of this kind of fake fur material. It didn't have a price tag on it so I took it to the cashier for pricing. It scanned in as a mere $2! Such a deal. (Almost makes up for that whole "Evil Wal-Mart" thing. :) )
Also went to KFC in Ramsey to use a coupon expiring today. So I got the leg and thigh special. ("square deal", the coupon says) When I got the food, I discovered that they had thrown in a side of potato wedges that wasn't in the coupon. Of course, I couldn't return it as I'd already handled the potato wedges. ;) So I took it as a little customer reward for dining at that KFC more than... oh, five times or so.
From

1. Name one of your flaws:
Being late for Friday Five. (except this time)
2. Have you ever won first place?
Of course. That's what FTF is all about. :)
3. Who is the last person to make you smile?
The other customer in line at Wal-Mart who said that the pillow looked like someone shot a bear.
4. Describe a time when you should have tried harder:
Numerous times. There was a geocache in Connecticut at Taylor Farm that I could reasonably have guessed was at the base of the prominent feature and I could've poked a little in the snow to get it, but I went back last weekend and it was trivial with no snow on the ground.
5. What are you good at?
Putting dumpsters on Flickr :)
