The water-encircled land mass of significant length

Because of tomorrow's event, I decided it would not be a good idea to go anywhere where I might fall off a cliff. Coming to think of it, that's never a good idea. So where's a reasonably safe place? Well, I went to Long Island. Yeah, I know. I've had numerous encounters with road rage, rudeness, and bad service there, but you know what? All those are merely aggravations and aggravations alone do not cause harm. Well, okay, road rage could lead to injury and death, but that doesn't usually happen.

First the good part: Did 14 geocaches, which I won't have time to write logs for tonight. So I'll do that another day. They varied greatly in difficulty. The most exciting one was where I had to do a little climbing at the edge of the dock and reach for it. For a moment there, I thought I was going to fall off the dock! (Okay, so I wasn't being too safe there either. :) )

Road rage: the usual. Who cares any more?

Bad service: This deserves mention. The folks at the KFC/LJS in North Baldwin have really let things slide since my last visit there. The bathroom was in a state of disrepair. The dining area was messy. No one was at the register to take my order for five minutes. And after they took my order, they forgot my order even though it was on the monitor with all the other orders. Hrm.
