Extra Boxy

Sent the car in for the 15,000-mile service (actual odometer reading was 15,525 miles) this morning. The 15,000-mile service apparently takes longer than the 10,000-mile and 5,000-mile services, so I got a loaner. This time, the loaner is a Scion xB. What an unusual vehicle. Not sure how to describe it. Its length is like a compact car but it is filled out to a box-like shape so there's plenty of headroom. (I wonder if xB stands for eXtra boxy. :) ) It's somewhat underpowered so it struggled to get up that last steep incline before home. Also, I kept forgetting to step on the gas a little more to compensate and wondered why I was tooling along at 30mph on the highway. (probably not a good thing on Route 17!) However, I bet it would be great for city driving and tight parking spaces. The speedometer is in the center. I didn't know where the odometer was until I realized that it was that small LCD number next to the clock.

Since I had a little time this morning, I went to the bank to get a bunch of bills bigger than ones. I got a $20 bill stamped with Where's George. Cool. I guess this one could be a Where's Andy. :)

From fridayfiver:

1. Have you ever ridden a camel?
No, not even the Sopwith kind.

2. When you are outside, what does the horizon look like?
Depends on where I am. Along the shore, it would be flat and ocean-like. Otherwise, there are probably trees or buildings blocking the view. Or there could be mountains in the distance.

3. Who is the last person to leave you a message?
No one can do that. I don't have an answering machine.

4. How many hours did you sleep last night?
6 hours.

5. Chocolate: take it or leave it?
Yes.

From manonica:

1. What does the Lenten Season mean to you?
Nothing, other than that I've heard of it.

2. What are you doing on Easter Sunday?
20-stop cache dash in Trenton and Bucks County!

3. What religion makes most sense to you?
Buddhism, probably. It seems to be the least war-like one.

4. What religion makes least sense to you?
IRS Form 1040 and associated schedules.

5. What is your personal spiritual belief?
Life is full of randomness but you have choices.
