Anyway, at around noon, I checked the weather radar and saw that it wasn't raining so hard in Western NJ and there were signs that rain was ending everywhere. So Western NJ it was! Got a bunch of geocache coordinates and headed out. There was still some rain along the way. At the peak of I-80, the fog was so thick that it looked like I was going through a cloud. But when I got the Blairstown, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Perfect timing!
So I went and did a bunch of caches and had some wild adventures because there was water running over some of the trails and for one of the caches, I crossed a creek that had turned into a miniature version of a whitewater rapids because of the rainwater. (I just waded into the creek carefully. In my way of thinking, socks are consumables.)
I don't know what the deal was with "Amazed". From the description, there's supposed to be some kind of challenge in getting the log sheet, but once I had a good look at it, the puzzle took only a second to open. Maybe it's broken.
At "Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Micro!", I was 170 feet from the cache when I got a message on my cellphone. I stopped to read it. Then I heard someone say "Coming up behind you." So I turned around and was surprised to see Helmut?! At first, I thought whoa! Then I realized that there are probably quite a number of people who have similar appearances. But if you believe in ghosts or spirits, this would be rather spooky because I think he mentioned at one time that this was one of his favorite parks.
