Dental appointment this evening. Other than one slightly-chipped tooth, there weren't any problems at all. Gums that used to be bleeding are now merely annoyed at the world.
Then I got a pastrami sub sandwich at Quiznos and brought it to the picnic area at Watchung Reservation in Union County. Anyway, I found out why getting a sandwich "to go" from Quiznos is not such a good idea. The sandwich tends to get soggy very quickly when it's wrapped up and transported. Oh well.
After having the sandwich at the picnic area, I went for the Nightcaper geocache. (The trailhead is just across from the picnic area.) It's a geocache with a trail of reflectors to follow to get to the final location, so it's best done at night with a flashlight. I used my million-candlepower flashlight to spot the reflectors and got to the final location fairly quickly to score the FTF. I must say that this nightcache is rather well-planned because the reflector trail intersects a marked trail near the end. So after finding the cache, instead of backtracking through the woods, I could follow the marked trail back to the parking area and there is little danger of getting lost on the way out.
Countdown: 4993 down, 7 to go.
