Air Force Coin Swap

Turkey Burger

This evening, I went to find the Air Force Steakout geocache. It's in a Veteran's Park in Parsippany. Apparently, there are picnic pavillions representing each branch of the military and so this geocache is by the Air Force Pavillion, which is next to the Coast Guard Pavillion. I'm a bit worried about the cache placement and I noted my concern in the cache log. For one thing, where it is, it might get hot when someone fires up the grill. Also, it appears that 3 of the 4 magnets holding it in place have already come unglued.

After that, I went to the GIDYYUP - 50th Anniversary and Coin Swap geocaching event at the Famished Frog in downtown Morristown. I'm not into collecting geocoins but I'm into logging them. So I wrote down the tracking numbers for 47 of them and "discovered" them once I got home. My trackables count is now up to 1,079. :) I had the turkey burger, as shown in the picture above. It's not terribly exceptional, except that there's a bit of spice in the marinade that makes it worthwhile. Also shared the onion straws with Marlin01. We agreed that those aren't as good as the blooming onion at Blazer Pub.
