2003 begins...

Rainy morning today. Wanted to drop off a few bags of stuff at the recycling center but found that it was closed for the holidays. Oh well. It's normally open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Why isn't it open more days of the week? They probably don't want to have to keep an eye on it all the time for people who rummage the trash for credit card numbers and account numbers.

On to the main goal of the day... the Tamms Lake geocache. I wanted to try the Pufftown Road approach to see if the rental can handle the dirt road. So much for that idea. The AWD vehicle only got about halfway down the road before starting to skid. There was a layer of snow on the dirt road so that may have been too slippery, especially when it hit the first incline. No problem. I got out and walked on the snowy road the rest of the way to the cache. It was an easy find as it as placed in such a way that it wouldn't be hidden by the snow. Picked up the I-Intel travel bug.

After that, I went to the Woodbury Commons outlet mall. I figured not too many people would be there today because of the rain. It's an open-air mall. The only thing I ended up getting there was lunch. Two of my favorite stores there were gone so there wasn't much to see. But on the upside, the food court has more choices now. Progress.

Came home and found that is functional again. Thank goodness. But as you can see from that link above, the website has been defaced a bit.
