You'd think that by now, I'd have gotten past it, but no...
That morning, I woke up at around 9am, shortly after the first plane struck the WTC. So for a little while there, I was wondering what they were talking about on the radio. Then it sank in.
This evening, I went for the Diamond Brook Cache in Glen Rock. Glen Rock is one of those towns that takes me far longer to get to than one might expect because of the number of traffic lights on the way there. So it took 25 minutes to go less than 10 miles. One notable feature of that town is a very large rock in the middle of the road. I'll have to get a picture of that one day. There wasn't any good place to park nearby this evening. As for the geocache, it was an easy walk from a dead-end residential road to a nice brook.
After that, I used a coupon at Popeye's in Northern Paramus to get some popcorn shrimp. Also read the 9/11 special report in the restaurant-provided newspaper while I was there.
