International Mail Day

Shepherd Lake

I wrote a letter to my parents this evening that just grew longer and longer as it lost focus, much like a Livejournal entry. :) Actually, the purpose of the letter was to send some forms and documents back home. I also took the opportunity to send prints of some recent photos. I'm a little annoyed at CVS, or rather, their photo printing service. I ordered the prints on Friday. I got delivery confirmation on Saturday. I checked the store on Saturday and again on Monday, but the prints weren't there. The prints finally arrived at the store on Tuesday, so there is a 3-day gap between the time they said the prints would be there and the time the prints were actually there. Anyway, I found out that Yahoo! Photos allows you to order prints for pickup at a Target store, so maybe I'll try that next time. Besides, the first 20 prints are free at Yahoo! Photos.

I received my first Postcrossing postcard yesterday! It's from a postcrosser in Germany. So thus far, I've sent out 6 cards, of which 2 have been logged, and I've received 1 card. I'll mail another card tomorrow.

I had Taco Tuesday at Moe's again this evening. I'm surprised that they still have this summer special as it's already past the autumnal equinox. Maybe it's an Indian summer special. :) This time, I had 6 hard tacos.
