Saw some mushrooms this morning. They grew out after the rain.
Another thing that apparently sprang out after the rain was the Wal-Mart in Riverdale by Route 23 and I-287. I guess I might have seen the construction zone at some point during the last few months but it didn't register in my mind, so it was a surprise when I went there and saw a whole new set of stores. I went there tonight to find the El Cheapo Grande #10: Wally 2-8-7 geocache, which is another funny thing because the dust barely had a chance to settle on the brand new Wal-Mart parking area and already there's a cache! (Also, the cache barely had a chance to settle in its hiding spot and already I found it. :) )
After browsing the BigBoxMart for a while, I went to Subway, which was located inside the same building near the entrance. This particular Subway had no issue with coupons, so I got the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki and the BBQ Rib sandwiches. From the nutritional info on the paper napkins, there's less than 20 grams of fat for the two sandwiches combined but with the extra sauce, who knows?
One of the admins changed the rules on the views groups at Flickr without discussing the changes beforehand. That's annoying. Sure... there's no need to tell me anything. After all, I'm only the person moderating the four groups by Perl script! My problem with the new rules is the part where users have to comment on a photo in the pool if they post to the pool. That's not enforceable by script. That's not even enforceable by hand because you can't prove that the poster didn't follow the rule other than by examining all the thousands of photos in the pool to see which one he commented on. Which is ridiculous. I noted my dissent in the discussion forum, but I think I'll just go ahead and revert the changes when I have time to make all the edits.
I also created a bot account for the moderation script, so that I won't have to run it under my account. Not that it makes a difference, but it's an opportunity to have a new weird icon show up in the admin list. :)
