North Jersey

It rained a bit in the morning, but after that, it was rather warm weather for December. The thermometer hit 60°F in the afternoon. It's actually rather ironic because earlier this year, I was thinking about moving to a place where it is 60°F all year round, if such a place exists. Well, I got what I asked for. However, I also asked for a place with no sales tax. So, Trenton, I'm waiting... :)

Anyway, I didn't go far today. Remained to the North of I-78 most of the day, except at the end when I ventured into the Watchung Reservation. Terrain is typical for this area: rocks mixed with mud from the rain yesterday and overnight. I also did one geocache near the Short Hills Mall and I noticed that there was an overflow of the overflow of the overflow parking and, if that was not enough, cars were also parked alongside Canoe Brook Road behind the mall! It's madness. Good thing I only needed to park at the corner of the last overflow parking lot.

Finished the day by going to East Hanover for Asian pears and dinner.

When I got home, I saw that I'd gotten a Christmas present of sorts in the mail. The class action lawsuit had apparently been settled and my share of the settlement was two checks totaling $310 and change. That's a surprise because I expected to get only about $12.
