Long Island Christmas Eve

Yet another in a series of fine 60°F days. (Well, close enough. It got up to 56°F on the car thermometer.) What better way to spend it than to head on outdoors for a bit. Went to Long Island.

Ran into Team Spongebarb at the "9GKS - HANG IN THERE, BABY" geocache. They're new to the game, but they're pretty good at it and know what they're doing. We traded travel bugs. Hope to see them at a future geocaching event.

I did "Shaolin Mystery Micro Multi" at dusk. Got another one just after dark and decided to stop (because unlike in Delaware, you can't go on and on all night here) and have dinner at LJS in Melville, which was still open despite the holiday. All in all, not a bad trip.

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday was I saw a coyote cross Route 24 a mile or two out of the Chatham/Madison area. I didn't know what dashed in front of the headlights at first, but then I saw it standing on the highway median and made a quick identification.
