The island that is long and loaded

I haven't been to Long Island for two weeks and all of a sudden, they opened the floodgate of geocaches. I had a bit of a late start and I only made it as far east as Hicksville but I still got 20 geocaches! This was also a day when everything went smoothly. There were a number of potential trouble spots but I didn't have any encounters with the neighbors, groundskeepers, or the police. That is remarkable because I checked the cache logs and other geocachers before me have had those problems. I guess they paved the way for me. :)

I noticed that some 7-Eleven stores on Long Island have started selling some Simpsons items in conjunction with the coming Simpsons movies. Not much yet though. They have "Squishee" cups but only in small and medium sizes. The large cups are still the usual Slurpee cups.

Since I had looped around and was back in Queens when I got the last geocache of the day, I decided to go to Flushing Chinatown for dinner. Went to Sentosa restaurant. It is one of the two Malaysian restaurants on Prince St. My impression from my last visit was that it was the lesser of the two restaurants. After this visit though, I think they are good in their own way. Food preparation was rather fast. I didn't have time to finish reading all my email on the cell phone before the food was ready. This time, I had char kuay teow (fried rice noodles with shrimp and stuff) and roti telur. (Indian-style pancake with egg filling, served with chicken curry for dipping)
