Southern Connecticut

Went to Connecticut today. Remained close to I-95 and the Merritt Parkway for the most part. It was a hot day but wooded areas weren't too bad and Connecticut has plenty of those.

It started as a very slow day. I think it was already past 5pm by the time I got to the 6th cache of the day. Then Boom! I started going from cache to cache, finding them quickly. Ended the day with 15 cache finds. Only the last two of those (in New Haven and East Haven) were found after dark.

Went to Duchess for both lunch and dinner. Both times were by chance. At around lunchtime, I noticed that there was a park with two geocaches just around the block from Duchess in Darien. So I did those two geocaches and then went to Duchess for a Big D Cheeseburger. Then, at dinnertime, I did a Google Maps search for Arby's in Orange. When I went there though, I didn't see Arby's. (I found out later that it was because their sign or restaurant name was missing.) However, Duchess was just a short distance down the road so I went there instead for a fish and chips dinner platter. They gave me a free slice of chocolate cake with the dinner platter. Well, I certainly won't go hungry in Connecticut!
