Closter Swamp Monster

Closter Nature Center

Rainy day today. However, the temperature was around 60°F, just the way I like it.

Of course, after a whole day of rain, it wasn't the best idea to go for a walk in the swamp, but in the evening, I visited the Closter Nature Center #3 geocache. As the name implies, it's at the Closter Nature Center in the town of Closter. From the parking area, the trail began across the road and led into the wooded area. Although it was muddy and waterlogged in some stretches, there were little bridges and boardwalks along the way, which helped. Unfortunately, it looks like someone lost a sneaker. I had boots on so I kept my feet dry all the way to the cache site. Unfortunately, my pants were splattered in mud up to the knees. Still, it was fun.

The heavy hand of Rockland County strikes again! The Happy Dog Cache, which I visited last week, has been archived for lack of geocaching permit. Can't let the happy dogs have their fun now, can we?

I was asked to adopt a geocache placed by a visiting geocacher since it is in the same park as one of my geocaches. I'll link to it when it is finalized.
