I only had time for one geocache this evening and this was it: The Cannonball Trail. It was in Ringwood Manor State Park in Ringwood. After I found this one, I hiked to the next geocache site on the same trail. Unfortunately, with the overcast sky and the earlier end-of-summer dusk, it was already getting too dark to do that one justice. So I'll leave the next one for another time.
It's been nearly two months since I last had Subway coupons, but I have a set of coupons now. So after the geocache, I went to Subway in Ramsey and had a meatball marinara sub. It's one of their messier subs, especially after adding all the veggies so the bread could barely contain it all. I thought it was good though, even if the chipotle sauce I asked for didn't go well with meatballs.
I'm almost a month late in noticing this (I've been busy :) ), but
kreggan has posted photos from the fursuit photoshoot at Anthrocon. I was in the photoshoot twice, once as Diablo and once as Chestnut Husky. Chestnut is really showing his age, however. I already repaired his tail last week, but last night, when I checked the seams on the bodysuit, I saw that I had quite a bit more sewing to do. I also noticed a worn spot, which is harder to deal with. For now, I'm just adding a patch there to strengthen the backing, but eventually, I'll have to remake that part with new material.
