Crystal Lake

The weather forecast today was a 100% chance of rain. It was correct. However, in the afternoon, the rain stopped long enough for me to go out and do maintenance on the One Degree of Separation geocache in Darlington County Park, Mahwah. Nothing major. Just put in a new log. Then I took some pictures of the foggy lake before heading over to Subway in Ramsey for their footlong sub special, which is in its second week. Looks like I didn't need to print out that email coupon after all.

WiiRule posted the puzzle cache PSC-7K: Don't Get Mad...Get Floopy! in honor of my 7000th find. The puzzle questions are based on some of my online material, so I'm actually impressed at how much he read and browsed in order to come up with those questions. I'll check out the cache site this coming Sunday when I'll be going to Long Island for a mascot gig.

And finally, Hudson View Series - Admiral's Cove has been archived by the cache owner. This is the cache that went missing after I found it and its disappearance coincided with the arrival of a mysterious note from Haverstraw PD. Although I left several messages, I never did get a call back from Haverstraw PD and I don't think they'll ever call back. So, although this is not a completely satisfying outcome, I'll consider it as good as closure.
