I think geocaches in the Lehigh Valley have the right mix of challenges. Of course, there were some easy ones but a few really did make me think. However, it's not the place for those who don't like micro caches. There are many of those there. The unfortunate part is the area is starting to be affected by the "annoying neighbor" syndrome. While looking for the geocaches, I read online cache logs on my cell phone and was shocked to find out that a few Lehigh Valley geocachers have had the police called on them by the neighbors. It didn't happen to me today, but that was probably because I went there on a weekday and no one was home.
However, I did talk to one of the locals, a retiree, who was wondering why he kept seeing people go to one particular spot in the park. He told me that he had also found the film canister on his own but didn't know what it was. So I explained the game to him briefly. Also told him about the number of people playing and about the many caches in the area to give him some idea of the size of the game.
All in all, it was a good trip to the Lehigh Valley. It would have been better if it weren't a rainy day but I can't have everything.
