Woke up today to... more snow. Beauty.
Ever wonder what it's like having a job writing fortune cookies? Perhaps there's a beatnik kind of Chinese guy holed up in an apartment somewhere in downtown Manhattan. He stares at a blank wall with such intense focus that a bead of blood forms in the middle of his forehead. Then, with a sudden rush of inspiration, he taps out "You like Chinese food" on his typewriter.
Here are some fortunes I've collected:
"The skills you have gathered will one day come in handy."
Cool! Instead of writing code, I'll find it under a fallen tree or behind a boulder.
"Time and patience are called for many surprises await you!"
I think someone dropped some change near the soda machine.
"You should be able to make money and hold on to it."
Long enough to enter it into Where's George of course. :)
"Pray for what you want, but work for the things you need."
Not particularly religious but okay. :)
"Your skill will accomplish what the force of many cannot."
World peace, here we come!
"A love relationship takes on an added dimension."
So it will go from zero dimensions to one dimension?
"You are never selfish with your advice or your help."
No can do. Still working on that world peace thingie.
