Auto inspection, Roth IRA distribution, just another hole in the hill

Got the NJ state auto inspection done on Tuesday. That was the earliest day I could've done it because they don't inspect vehicles more than two months before sticker expiration. The only thing that took a long time was waiting in line. Once I got my car in the inspection station, it was over pretty quickly. They didn't need to do emissions testing because my car is less than 4 years old. (3 years and 11 months)

After that, I went home to prepare the Roth IRA qualified distribution form. I redid the numbers to double-check the amount I could withdraw. I also reread the instructions for Form 5329 to be sure. Submitted the form this afternoon at the Scottrade office in Paramus.

Once that was done, it was time for a bit of recreation. I headed off to the Butler/Riverdale area for two geocaches, Stony Brook Bridge and Down the Street. The former was a park and grab. The latter was just a bit of a walk in the woods, past a man-made hole in the side of the hill that could have been a storage bunker for a long-gone iron works.
