TGI Friday's sent me an appetizer coupon valid on Christmas Day only. I thought that was odd because I'd assumed nearly all businesses would be closed today, but I called them and found out that they were open regular hours! So I went to their New Castle location in the evening and got takeout tostada nachos to add to our dinner at home. Dinnertime entertainment was The Secret of NIMH on Hulu. I spotted this title in Hulu's list of movies today and since I'd never watched it all the way before, I figured it was as good a time as any to see it.
From Friday5.org:
How likely are you to return or exchange a gift you don't like?
Rather unlikely. I'd save it for a gift swap at a future event.
Who is the most gifted person you know?
Hard to say. You're all good at different things. Can anyone do 3 paddleballs at the same time? :)
Of gifts you gave this year, which was really the closest to perfect for the recipient?
I gave away an ammo can at a geocaching event last month. It was a white elephant gift swap so I don't know who got it but they are all geocachers so whoever got it probably can use it.
What's your favorite kind of gift to receive?
Peace of mind. Recognition. Camaraderie.
What's your favorite kind of gift to give?
Anything I have an excess of that someone else can put to good use.
From

1. What one food most reminds you of your childood?
Eggs. Soft boiled.
2. How old were you when you learned how to ride a bicycle?
I think I was 9 or 10 at the time.
3. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa Claus?
I don't remember that either. I wasn't really thinking about that and it just dawned on me over a period of time.
4. What was your favorite television show/cartoon when you were little?
Gophers!, Inspector Gadget, Duck Tales... well, actually, I wasn't so little when those were aired. When I was very little, I remember watching The Perils of Penelope Pitstop but I don't remember much of that cartoon.
5. What is the youngest age you remember being and do you have a specific memory of when you were that age?
Learning to read an analog clock when I was 2 years old. I don't know why I remember that but forgot so many other things.
