Tidied up things around the house a bit in the afternoon. Then I needed to go out to get some produce so I decided to see if I could get a few geocaches before the thunderstorm. I didn't have to worry. It was sunny and over 80°F at the time and I completed the 3 geocaches long before there was even any sign of the storm. The first two were in Woodlawn Trustees land in Wilmington. The trailhead was behind a hotel and from there, I followed trails along farmland and across a stream to Hundred Dollar Bill Cash/Cache v. 2. Yes, there were hundred dollar bills (in a manner of speaking :) ) in the cache. I got one of the extra bills from the large envelope but it got wet later on and the ink ran so I don't think I need to bother with that. ^.^
The next cache in the same area was JGK's Woodlawn Cache. I followed the trail on the wrong side of the stream for a while before getting to a crossover trail. Once on the correct side, it was a more straightforward hike to this cache. After that, I went to Shellpot Park for over the river and through the woods... This didn't seem like such a good place for a cache because it was really close to a few backyards. Luckily, the stream was shallow enough to stand in the middle of today as that was the best place to spot the cache from. Went shopping after that. It started raining very heavily at that time but I still got 3 out of 5 things on my list before going home.
