Rainy-day itinerary

El Santo It rained pretty much all day today but I wasn't planning on going out very far. Hibachi Sushi & Supreme Buffet, which is just a few miles up the road from my place, mailed me a flyer with coupons a while back. Today, I finally decided to take them up on the offer. So I skipped breakfast and went there for an early lunch. Well, I was impressed. It's a rather big Chinese buffet. They have 12 tables of food, including sushi and hibachi. Needless to say, I didn't even come close to trying everything they had but I did leave room for dessert.

After that, I went to the DCCA to see what new art exhibits they have. (and also to trade travel bugs at this geocache in their cafe area) The art and sculptures on display seem to change every month or so. This time, they also have animations and videos playing in continuous loop on wall-mounted screens. I'm not sure what to make of one sculpture that looks like clothes hanging on a clothesline. I have that at home too. Maybe my place could be art. :)

Finally, since the rain had slowed by then, I took a short walk in the Wilmington riverfront area to get more photos of the dinosaur sculptures. This is the same concept as Cow Parade but with painted dinos instead.
