Under The Bridge

Only had time for one geocache between errands this afternoon but it's an interesting one. It's in Fort Dupont State Park in Delaware City and it's under Route 9. Yes, I drove to the end of the state park and found a dirt road under the elevated part of the road. Not sure how much further it goes but you can drive on it for at least the half mile or so to the cache site.

Then I went to Riverfront Shell in Wilmington to use a gas coupon. Before this one, I'd never received a direct mail ad from a specific gas station. This coupon is for a dollar off the fill-up but this discount is offset by their gas price, which is a bit higher than the lowest price in this area. Even so, I figure I saved about 50 cents over BJ's Wholesale gas on this one fill-up.

My nüvi 205W has developed a annoying glitch. This problem doesn't actually affect the basic task of navigation but I can't add anything to it. Attempting to copy a custom POI file to this GPS causes it to freeze. Same thing happens when I try to update the software. If I add or delete favorites, it doesn't retain the changes on power-off. It also doesn't remember its last position and always starts up pointing to somewhere in Lititz. (which is where the problem started) I can still get it to route to geocaches by entering coordinates manually but that's not as convenient as adding a POI file. I've been in contact with Garmin email support and will call them tomorrow morning to see if I can get it repaired or replaced. (There is still about half a year left on the product warranty.)
