Newark - Pencader

After 4 days of going to New Jersey for geocaching, it was time to stop and take care of some errands. However, I did those in Newark so I could swing by two new geocaches. On the way out of town, I visited benchmark JU2198 because it is next to the highway but mostly because I'd read the logs and was curious to see if it had broken off yet from cars driving on top of it. It is near an auto repair shop along US-13 and people regularly drive right over it when they take a shortcut out onto the highway ramp. Well, the surrounding ground is bare dirt but the benchmark disc is fine. I suppose it'll last a while longer like that, given that it has been there for decades already.

Then I went to Pencader Heritage 2 at the Pencader Heritage Museum. (Not sure where Pencader Heritage 1 was.) I wasn't sure where to park for this cache. I'm guessing they only open the big fenced area when the museum is open. So I parked on the road and walked in. This one was easy and a neat hide, even if ants somehow found their way into the container.

After that, I visited Eazy Peazy in Lumbrook Park. This cache is anything but easy or peasy. It is quite devious. Fortunately, I had the correct idea so I was able to find it. However, during the search, it was very tempting to push this button (the jolly, candy-like button) to see if it is fake. It needs a sign saying "Don't push this button!" :)
