The place was surprisingly busy for a weekday so there was a short wait for a table. Perhaps the crowd from the closing down sale at The Wiz (Computer networking stuff is now 50% off there. I got an 802.11b PCMCIA card for my laptop.) had to go somewhere to eat.
We ordered an appetizer, the onion strings. According to the menu, Joe bets you can't stop eating them. Well, not quite. But the fried onions do come with a nice sweetish dipping sauce. For the main course, I had the meatloaf, while Digeri had the cheeseburger. I thought it was pretty good meatloaf, baked so that it was just a little crisp. It came with a pile of squash and carrots, and mashed potatoes with gravy. For dessert, we split a bowl of baked apple pie with ice cream. Such a delight, although the ice cream tended to melt really quickly.
One thing we noticed... why is the Grey Poupon in a plastic bottle while the ketchup gets to be in a glass bottle? Looks like the classy mustard has gone way down in the condiment pecking order. :)
