This has been quite a week. There were enough new geocaches that were either near work or doable after dusk that I've been able to go out and find one every evening after work. The most interesting one was the one I visited on Thursday evening, "Your Key To Cache" in Wilmington near Newport. I understood from the cache description that it is large but I didn't know what it would be until I got there. It is a van! (See pictures above.) The only trick was finding the key and once I did that, I was able to unlock the side door. I was amazed that the van is furnished and carpeted on the inside. There were lots of brochures and cards so it appears to be a mini showcase for their HVAC family business. Of course, I was really only there to sign the log book, so I did that and closed the van door, just in time to meet up with Rynamon, who was going for the same cache that evening.
Prior to this van geocache, the largest geocache I encountered was also a vehicle. It was an old jeep in upstate New York. The cache owner parked it on his property (a wooded area behind his house) and posted it to the geocaching website as a geocache. That was pretty neat to find too. Before that jeep, the largest geocache I found was a 55-gallon drum on Long Island.
