Long Island

Another trip to Long Island. I think all the geocaches this time around are in Suffolk County.

Cub Pack 66 (CAR-1)
West Hills County Park in Huntington. I bushwhacked in from a cul-de-sac, reasoning that this way would be more direct and flatter. Not sure if I saved any time.

Dollar Bill Origami (New York)
Sunshine Acres Park in Commack. Very easy one. Lots of dollar bill origami in the cache container but I didn't take any.

Muddy Stream (New York)
Residential area in Kings Park. I'm not even sure what this was supposed to be except that it a muddy, brushy area in a vacant lot with a stream running through it. Had a rough time moving around in there without getting too muddy but I found the cache.

U2BBSCamp – H3 (New York)
Cathedral Pines County Park in Middle Island. Campground area. Generally sparse and very little brush so I bushwhacked all the way in.

Steamers - H2 (New York)
Southaven Park in Yaphank. Short walk. Easy find. Didn't see any steamers along the way although I'm sure they're around somewhere.

YES- STARSHIP TROOPER (New York)
Grumman Memorial Park in Calverton. Impressive jet fighter on display here.

Little Jar on the Prairie (New York)
Flax Pond in Old Field. (East Setauket) Very easy find. Not nearly as muddy as the description claims but then again it hasn't been raining in a day or two. There was also a neat footbridge cutting across to the other side of the pond.
