Harriman State Park - Black Rock Mountain in the morning

One cache in the morning on Wednesday, two on Thursday so why not three on Friday? Went to Harriman State Park today. To be specific, it's the Rt 106 and Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail area. This park is chock full of geocaches if you like walking up and down the mountains. I can hike mountains. Just rather not do that every day.

Black Rock Mtn (New York)
BigBill6's brand new cache. I don't think it even had a chance to settle in before I pulled it out. Not a bad walk up the mountain so far. Some good views. Didn't bring my camera though as I didn't need the extra weight going up the mountain and I might break it on a rock or something.

Box of Rain (New York)
Even higher up the mountain! Not very far from the first cache though. Just a bit further up the trail. Nice view up here. And the cache was easy to find too.

Keep on Hiking (New York)
Went back down the trail a bit and bushwhacked across the plateau, which was mostly exposed flat boulders with patches of bushes and grass. So that was an easy bushwhack even if the cache was somewhat further from the trail. Again an easy find.

Found all three of the caches within an hour. There was maybe another hour, including a bit of sitting around on the rocks, going from the car to the first cache and from the third cache back to the car so it was a two-hour excursion. Perfect.
