This is becoming a cache of the day thing...

Parallel to the ski lift cache
Silvermine Lake area, Harriman State Park, NY. It was raining but what the hey. Had to wonder though what the two people sitting in their cars in the parking lot were thinking as I went up the hill. What is that nut doing in the rain? You could really see the whole slope up to the top from the parking lot because the trail is a ski trail. A long strip of open grassy land. The slope was moderately steep. Wasn't so bad though because the weather was a lot cooler from the rain. It'd be a lot more tiring in hot sunny weather with no tree shade on the ski trail. And once I got to the spot, the cache was an easy find like most of bigbill6's.

That was #1594. 6 more to 1600.
Going to the Geo Jamboree this weekend. I hope it doesn't get rained out.

I saw someone try to go back up the ramp at I-287 and Palisades Center. Scary. Must not be a local or he'd know that he could make a U-turn at the Palisades Parkway interchange just a mile further. Perhaps they should have signs saying "U-Turn 1 mile ahead" or similar. That sure would help those who are unfamiliar with the area. And it would cut down on people backing up on ramps.
